Diameter chart, reel capacity & backing guide

SuperBraid 9 adds a straight PE core to eight surrounding strands. The reviewed solid-color lineup covers 8-100 lb with strength-specific 150-, 300- and 3,000-yard options. White and Dark Green do not have identical package ranges.

Is SuperBraid 9 right for your setup?
SuperBraid 9 is a candidate for a braid working fill when you want this specific core construction. Thin sizes can leave considerable unused spool volume on a larger reel, while the heavier range calls for suitable tackle and more working reserve. Do not assume the original SuperBraid package list applies unchanged to the 9-strand product.

Choosing your SuperBraid 9 strength
The 8 and 10 lb rows are 0.13 and 0.15 mm. For lighter tackle, consider the rod and leader connection before selecting the smallest diameter simply to maximize capacity.
The 150-yard range stops at 50 lb in Dark Green and at 20 lb in White. The 65-100 lb sizes require a different verified package selection.
The 80 and 100 lb solid-color rows are verified in White at 300 yards. One White 100 lb bulk description incorrectly says 65 lb; that ambiguous 3,000-yard package is withheld.
Specification-based guidance, not a ReelCalc hands-on performance test. Capacity results are estimates, not measured fills.

Select color and strength together
Dark Green and White have different length/strength combinations. A 150-yard White spool is not verified for every size available in Dark Green.
Allow for actual deployment
For deep drops or large fish, set the required working length first. Backing may occupy unused volume, but should remain below the line needed during normal fishing and a realistic run.
Keep Five Color separate
The metered SuperBraid 9 Five Color has a separate 330-yard listing. Its packages and features are not folded into this solid-color selection.
SuperBraid 9 questions, answered
What does the ninth strand do?
Yo-Zuri describes eight PE strands around a straight PE core and attributes durability and handling benefits to that structure. ReelCalc has not independently tested those performance claims.
Are White and Dark Green offered in identical sizes?
No. The official tables show different upper strengths and filler combinations. Use the exact package rows.
Why is the 100 lb bulk option absent?
The White bulk row's item code and strength column say 100 lb, but its description says 65 lb. The unambiguous 100 lb/300 yd row is retained; the conflicting bulk package is not.
How much SuperBraid 9 will fit my reel?
Use the exact strength and the reel's published capacity. Pound test is not a fixed diameter, so equal-strength products can produce different fill estimates.
Is one 150-yard package enough?
Only when it covers the planned working length and an appropriate reserve. Backing can fill unused volume, but cannot supply more working line for long casts, deep drops or fish runs.

Official sources retrieved September 13, 2026. Both inch and millimeter values are published independently and retained within rounding tolerance. Solid-color tables only; 330 yd Five Color kept separate. White 100 lb/3000 yd row withheld because description says 65 lb. Original printed 0.320 mm/0.012 in pairing at 40 lb is flagged for rounding review; alternate official DUEL chart publishes 0.32 mm/0.012 in for the same strength. Package options are not a stock or price guarantee.
Calculations use the catalog's listed inch diameters. Published inch and millimeter values may differ slightly because of rounding.
